Looking at Cambridge, you'll mostly see the focus drawn to the academics and the rich history of the city. Luckily for us, we dont have to look too far to find incredible architecture and tasty stops. From a new Cambridge resident, looking to find all the best secret spots, here are some of my top picks for a midday coffee, a quick bite, or maybe just a pint after a long day of touring!
The Old Bicycle Shop
@AdventureWithEllie
The Old Bicycle Shop is a well known spot in Cambridge, one of a kind its rumoured to be in the place where Charles Darwin bought his bicycle from in the 1800s. We went for lunch and gave a couple of the cocktails a try (10/10), as well as their beers on tap.

Stir Bakery (Green Street)
@AdventureWithEllie
Stir Bakery is a great lunch or coffee spot. Located on the famous Green Street, it has incredible pastries, including gluten free and vegan bites for anyone with dietary restrictions, as well as fresh bread, sandwiches, and coffees. What I like to do is grab a pastry and walk over to Newtons Apple Tree to enjoy it, theres some seating there to ponder some physics if you choose! I would recommend trying their sandwiches as they are always fresh!

Knoops
@AdventureWithEllie
Knoops is a London chain that has made the short journey up to Cambridge. With a vast array of Hot Chocolate options, the queues are out the door in the winter months.
We love the 28% with Matcha, and the 68% with szechuan pepper

Urban Larder
@AdventureWithEllie
If you're adventuring on Mill Road and need a quick pick me up Urban Larder has the best iced chai latte that I've had in Cambridge. The coffee there is also great if chai isn't quite your thing!
