The most convenient way to get around Japan is by metro and high-speed trains. The transport system is well developed and it's pretty easy to get around.

The Japanese currency is the yen. I recommend exchanging 200-300 euros before your trip as you will definitely need cash in restaurants.

Japan was one of the safest places I have visited. Perfect cleanliness, people respecting each other's personal space, the subway has women-only cars.
