A Week in Bogotá - Colombia 7-Day Itinerary
Located 2,625 meters above sea level, Bogotá's weather is quite cold. My friends and I went to Bogotá in the coldest month of the year: July. I was ready to wear around 3 layers of clothes, however, even though it was the coldest month a warm sweater was enough and I ended up overpacking.
The best time of year to travel to Bogotá is during the dry season, which is from December to March.
Accommodation
We stayed in 2 different hostels while we were in the city. The first one we checked into was República Hostel, followed by our stay at Trip Monkey.
We chose these accommodations due to their location, as we'd heard that the lively Chapinero district was the ultimate hub for nightlife and entertainment. It's worth noting that Chapinero also has a reputation for being a safe area.
