Need a get away from the big city?
Located in the heart of Sonoma County lies the most charming town of Healdsburg. With book shops to get ‘lost’ in, fine dining, fresh markets, and artisanal shops.
Luckily Healdsburg is just over an hour drive from San Fransico. So even if you are staying in the Bay Area, you can escape for a day trip.
You can even stop along Saulsilito for the best burgers you’ll ever have.
Then walk across the street to enjoy them at the park with bay views.
Okay okay, back to your journey into Healdsburg...
You'll drive in Sonoma county to be enchanted with the small town. Filled with bookshops, cafes, artsinal stores and fine dining.
You can either stay in the town for close access to the shops or you can make your way 15 minutes out of town and stay in a tranquil resort like we did.

We really enjoyed the eateries in the town! The market was a cute sandwhich shop with the freshest ingredients and bread!
Of course you don't go to Sonoma and NOT visit a winery. (I mean you can, but even if you are not a wine drinker, one or two is worth the visit).
We are able to enjoy a meet up with friends at Caymus. We really enjoyed the resort so this is the only one I personally visited.
