Hidden Gem: Blanding, Utah

J Lee
(1-2 Days) Blanding, Utah: a hidden gem surrounded by awe-inspiring natural beauty. Nestled in the heart of the Four Corners region, this charming town offers a gateway to ancient ruins, stunning canyons, and outdoor adventures.

Things to do:

I tried to keep the drive-limit to an hour, so everything should be accessible. If you haven't been to Utah before, you could spend a month simply exploring and still want more time. It is a gorgeous state.

Where to stay:

I highly, highly recommend the Stone Lizard Lodge. They have a homemade breakfast with the best food (still dreaming of their cinnamon roll).

How to get there:

There is the Salt Lake City Express that passes through Moab and Monticello to reach Blanding as the last stop. The bus line services a large part of the Mid-West, but expect a long ride.
