I lived in the beautiful holiday destination of Malta for three wonderful years, during which I enjoyed countless stay-cations. When choosing where to stay, I wanted a pool to lay by and soak up the Mediterranean sun, easy access to sandy beaches or exciting activities, and, a good selection of vegan food nearby. My top 3 favourite hotels

1. The Village Hotel, Naxxar

Tucked away at the end of a side alley along a quiet street is a peaceful oasis. This is my favourite place to stay in Malta; the beds are comfy, the rooms and bathrooms are beautiful, and the pool is surrounded by flowers and palm trees. They also have a Spa and indoor pool! I stayed here solo once and I felt safe and comfortable.

During your stay, enjoy a short afternoon walk through the historic village to find Java cafe which offers a range of vegetarian and vegan options.

The Palace is a 5-star hotel, The Victoria is a 4-star; both offer options for breakfast and are minutes walk from the Sliema seafront boasting endless coffee shops, restaurants and beaches!
