About

Located on the Balearic Sea, Mallorca is a perfect island paradise. Part of 3 other Spanish islands in this area, Mallorca is the largest island of the 3, and in my opinion, the perfect travel spot. If you need a relaxing vacation, this island has many beautiful beaches and resorts one can stay in. If an explorer, there are many things to explore and many hidden gems you will find on this island. Or, you can have the best of both worlds and relax and explore this island!

Places to Stay

DAY 1

It’s your first day! Take an easy morning and relax in your hotel, resort, house, or wherever your staying! After your relaxing morning, you can either have lunch wherever your staying or you can have lunch in Palma, the capital you’ll spend the rest of the day in! Here are some recommendations for lunch in Palma!

OMBU- creative tapas

After lunch, make your way to the Catedral-Basilica de Santa Maria de Mallorca. The country of Spain contains many cathedrals, and Mallorca is no exception. Located near the ocean and it contains its own pool right in front of it, it is a place you MUST take photos. If you are interested, you can also enter the cathedral for a fee and see the work of it. A highly unknown fact is that the infamous Gaudi of Barcelona, helped to design the interior of the cathedral- a small taste of Barcelona in Palma.

After exploring the area around the Cathedral, I would recommend stopping for some quick gelato at Rivareno.

Next I would stroll Old Town Palma, located near the cathedral. Get lost in the beautiful Mallorcan streets. After wandering around, make your way to Passeig del Born for some shopping. After some strolling through the shops, make your way over to the port to catch the sunset. Stroll down the pier as you watch the sun set and then head over to dinner.

I would recommend dinner at:

Mar de Nudos- right on the pier for some fresh seafood

FERVOR Palma- located more within the city of Palma, it serves some of the best Mallorcan paella, which is a must when in Spain.

DAY 2

The day will be spent exploring some of the cute villages and a monument in the northwestern part of the island.

You’ll start your day with some breakfast at Forn I Patisseria Ca’n Molinas located in the charming village of Valldemossa. This place offers some Mallorcan pastries and sweets. You will then spend the day strolling through Valldemossa Old Town, wandering around its cobblestone streets and admiring the charming buildings. After strolling around stop by the Palace of King Sancho to look at Mallorcan architecture and history.

After exploring this monument, make your way over to the town of Deia, a short drive over. Start with lunch at Ca’s Patro March, one of the best lunch spots in Mallorca, and on the sea. Highly recommend to reserve your lunch spots before arriving to ensure your table at this spot. Stroll around the beach after lunch, and then head over to Deia town to stroll its streets. After exploring this charming, seaside town, head over to dinner at El Olivo at Belmont Residencia. You will have to book here much in advance, but once again, highly worth it to capture the views of the mountains and the town with your meal.

DAY 3

Before catching the UV at the beach this morning, we’ll stop for breakfast at Port de Soller! One of my favorite places was Beach House Port Soller, a creperie.

We’re going to spend the morning at Port de Sóller beach- if your feeling adventurous, charter a boat and get out on the water! However, if that is not something you want to do, you can just relax and lounge on the beach! If needed, parasols and sunbeds are available for rent!

After catching the rays of sunshine, your gonna want to catch the vintage tram to the town of Soller, just a few miles inland from the port. It is a 15 minute ride through orange groves and the mountain ranges. The tram does cost eight euros one way so make sure to be ready to pay once on board.

In the town of Soller, your going to want to explore Old Town and get lost in the streets. Head over to the center of the town, the Plaça de la Constitucio. This is the main square of the town, where the most famous landmark of the town, Sant Bartomeu Church is also located. If you happen to be there on a Saturday, enjoy the fresh market with a variety of local products.

After experiencing the delightful orange juice, take the vintage train back to port de Soller so you can explore the quaint Mediterranean port. Walk around and enjoy the sunset near the water and head over to places such as Cap Roig, Suculenta, or NENI for dinner.

DAY 4

Today will be spent exploring the town of Pollenca, with stops in Sa Calobra and Cap de Formentor.

Starting with Pollenca, it is a stunning town on the north side of the island, riddled with authentic honey stone oozing charm. Starting with Placa Major, it is the main square of the town where you will find with excellent restaurants and cafes. If you are starting your day here, here are a few breakfast recommendations:

-La Mar Dolca

-Ca Les Monges

After enjoying your coffee and breakfast, right in Placa Major are a long series of steps you will see starting called the 365 Calvari Steps. These steps lead up to a magnificent view of Pollenca and a cute church at the top. The Church of Nostra Senyora dels Angels is small, but quaint church at the top, and the interior is beautiful. While up there, don't forget to catch the panoramic views of the town of Pollenca and the surrounding countryside.

After, you will make your way out of the town of Pollenca and on to Sa Calobra. It is a long, windy road to take to reach the viewpoints, but it is worth it for one of the most beautiful views of Mallorca. Continuing down the road, you'll reach a parking lot where you will either decide to visit the Cap de Formentor lighthouse, or one of the beaches of Sa Calobra. I highly recommend taking the bus to visit the lighthouse at the northern most tip of the island. Once again, stunning views from there. After taking the bus back down to the parking lot, take a small walk down the path to Torrent de Pareis, a unique and remote beach.

- NO. 31 Restaurant & Bar

- Restaurant Ca'n Josep

- Ca Les Monges

DAY 5

The day will start in Mondrago Natural Park- an area of beautiful beaches, and forested coastal and cliff-side walks. You will have to pay a small fee to enter the park, but it is highly worth it.

Take a five minute walk down the first path to reach Cala Mondragó- unbelievably blue water is located here, and depending the time of day you arrive at this park, there is a restaurant located at the beach to refuel for your continued adventure.

After enjoying this beach for a little bit, you will gather your belongings and take a small walk over to the next, more secluded beach, called Calobra des Borgit. It is a short cliff-top and forest walk till you reach this small cove surrounded by a rocky ledge. Even if you do not plan on swimming, definitely take some photos here.

Walk back over to Cala Mondrago and follow the path to the next beach, called Cala S'Amarador.  The path to this beach is also a rocky path following cliff ledges. If you so desire, you may take a quick break and take a jump off the small cliffs into the water. When you arrive at this beach, before hopping back into the water, take the quick 5 minute walk to one of the viewpoints to capture the beauty of this beach. After you can lounge at the beach for as long as you desire.

If you want, there are also more trails you can follow at this park as well.

DAY 6

The day will be spent in southern Mallorca, primarily Santanyi and Cala Figuera.

Santanyi is one of the most visited towns in Mallorca, and it is where you will spend your day. Depending on what day you are going to be visiting this town, there is a weekly market operating on Saturday or Wednesday. The best thing to do in this town is to stroll the charming streets.

After you have strolled through the streets, head over to the parking for Mirador Es Pontas. There is a very small parking lot before the dirt path that takes you to the viewpoint, so you most likely will have to find street parking near the area. After parking, there is a dirt path that takes you on a short hike to one of the famous viewpoints of Mallorca, Es Pontas. It is a curved rock feature out on the ocean, and the viewpoint provides ample opportunities to catch you Instagram-worthy photos. This isn't the only amazing view in this area, and if you just walk around the area, you will see many amazing viewpoints to capture photos.

After getting your photos, your going to take a short drive to Cala Santanyi and enjoy some beach time. This is a family-friendly beach that provides chairs and umbrellas for rent. This beach is kind of enclosed by a rocky cliff, but that makes it even better! You can take the pathways up to the cliffs and you can dive from the cliffs into the amazingly clear water on both sides of the enclosure. There are ladders scattered throughout the cliff edges to help you get out of the water and back onto the rocks so you do not have to swim all the way back to the beach. If cliffs aren't your thing, you can rent out a small little boat that contains a small ladder with a slide so you can slide into the water.

After enjoying the beach, you're going to dry off and drive over to Cala Figuera, a small fishing town. You can park anywhere you can actually find parking and everything will still be in walking distance. Start by heading to the port and just walking across the sidewalks near the water for this cute fishing town. Walk all the way down the sidewalks and head to the area near Cala Figuera, which is a resort. There should be a path that leads you to the rocky ledges. Once again, you can go swimming in the area off the ledges, or you can just head over there for photo opportunities.

Afterwards you will take the short walk from Cala Figuera and head to Pura Vida for food. This restaurant is not only delicious, but it has AMAZING views of the cliffside edge and the blue Mallorcan water. Try to get seating outside and by the glass railing so you can experience these magical views.
