🍴Quicker/Healthier Eats

For quicker and healthier meals, Paris has some "cantines" that are really good. These places usually have plentiful vegetarian and vegan options, and a few different set menu options to choose from. These are places I've been to personally and really love.

IMA CANTINE

Very yummy place to get a healthier meal relatively quickly. It's kind of a buffet style in that everything is made in bulk, but you don't serve yourself. You will tell the server at the counter what you want, but you'll only be choosing amongst a small handful of options. They will then prepare your plate or bowl for you, so it's pretty fast. I loved my food here!

Le Bichat

Lovely healthy cantine with vegan bowls (fish and meat bowls available too).

Crêperie Gigi

Such a gem! Cannot tell you how many times I've been here. So much less touristy than Breizh, and absolutely delicious crêpes (and galettes) and cider. What's the difference between crêpes and galettes? Crêpes are sweet and dessert-y, and this type of 'pancake' is what you'll usually be served from street stalls. Crêpes are not gluten-free. Galettes are made of gluten-free buckwheat (sarrasin) flour and are more savory. So, normally you will start with a galette as the main part of your meal and then finish with a crêpe. If you have a severe gluten sensitivity, double check with the staff about their food prep practices before dining!

Honorable mention: Wild & the Moon. There are several locations, and I believe it's all vegetarian/vegan. It IS good but the prices are CRAZY. These shops literally feel like something from LA got accidentally dropped in Paris. It's kind of an experience, if you're up for it/can afford it!

French "Fast Food"

Fric-Frac Canal St Martin
@hilaryinparis
This is a walk-up window (with a small indoor seating area) *specifically* for croques - the famous ham & cheese sandwiches in France! If you're on a croque mission, this is a very fun & tasty little stop. There is another location in Montmartre.
