Trapani_ Food Guide

If you are a foodie person you can't miss this guide about Sicilian and Trapanese food. It includes different restaurants, bars, bakeries and "gelateria". I'll update it while trying more day by day! BE AWARE, if traveling to Sicily you are going to gain some kilos: the weight of a really authentic Mediterranean diet! With this interactive guide, you can directly: 🔺get directions with Google Maps 🔺 tap on the Map to have an overview I tried my best to separate the places to enjoy them at different meals during the day, but it's kind of struggling in Sicily, because many places covered most of the meals! Make sure to save it to get updates as they come. Feel free to drop me your feedback! @cathoo_wanderlust

Many people pass by Trapani simply to reach Aegadian Islands, but in term of history and culture the town has a lot to offer!

I recommend taking a walk along the narrow streets and discovering hidden gems and of course, trying some delicious food!

 Breakfast

Don't you wanna start your day with a delicious coffee and "cornetto"?☕🥐

The problem in Sicily is that there are so many pastries to choose from, that you will get disoriented once inside a "Pasticceria" or Bar.

If you like a salty breakfast, in all the listed below places you can find everything you need to enjoy your meal (sandwiches, toasts, pizzette, and more).

K2 L'arte del gusto
@cathoofattori
Wide selection of typical Sicilian pastries and gelato. Try Dolce Mela, treccia with sugar, ciambelle or "delizia al limone" and then why not a Cornetto? VEGAN options available You can have also lunch or snack here, just choose from their menu your meal!!

Absolutely try ARANCINA and MARGHERITA pizzetta: simply delicious!! It was the first place in Trapani, where I got the "arancina", so like "the first love you won't forget", well here it happened again but for the food!! 😜😜 You can take your food and enjoy it just behind the shop at "Porta Delle botteghelle" or at "Mura di Tramontana"

Lunch, Dinner and Pizza

The typical Trapanese dishes are cous cous and "pesto alla Trapanese".

Cous cous is a Arabic dish, since Sicily is the land of foreign influences, this dish represents the union of different cultures.

"Pesto alla Trapanese" normally with BUSIATE (typical Sicilian pasta) is made with simple ingredients: tomato, basil, garlic, grated pecorino, almonds, salt and pepper, and bound with olive oil...the result is outstanding!

Ristorante Antichi Sapori
