Lima & Huaraz, Peru — Digital Nomad Travel Guide

The wifi worked well at the Airbnb I stayed at in Lima. Since the wifi worked well, I didn't work in any cafes or co-working spaces. 

Uber worked well in Lima and was fairly affordable. I mostly just used Uber to get around between neighborhoods. 

Most of the time though, I walked to places within the Miraflores neighborhood I was staying in as it was very walkable. 

I was in Lima for the entire month of February, which is in the middle of the summer season there. The weather was beautiful — warm and sunny almost every day. 

Huaraz was chillier than Lima as it's at a higher elevation. I recommend packing layers if you're planning on visiting Huaraz. It was also rainy when I visited in February. January to March is the rainy season.

I took the 8+ hour bus from Lima to Huaraz. I booked my bus tickets from this website: https://www.redbus.pe/en/bus-tickets/lima-to-huaraz

I went with the company Transportes Julio Cesar, and the bus was very comfortable. The seats recline back a lot, and there was also a privacy curtain. 

There is no Uber in Huaraz, so when I arrived into town, I had to take a local taxi to my hostel.

I did not work in Huaraz as I was only there for the weekend. However, most cafes do have wifi. I'm not sure if it's strong enough for working though.

Route:
My friend and I flew from Buenos Aires to El Calafate. 
We stayed in El Calafate for a few nights, and then we took a bus to El Chaltén.
We stayed in El Chaltén for a few nights and took a bus back to El Calfate for a night. The next morning, we flew to Ushuaia. 
We stayed in Ushuaia for a few nights and then flew back to Buenos Aires.
