Rides

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
@FalconSquadron
The flagship ride at Galaxy's Edge in Hollywood Studios, Rise of the Resistance, is like nothing you've ridden before. This ride uses a one-of-a-kind trackless ride system, making it fully immersive. You start off being briefed by Rey, Poe Dameron, and Lieutenant Bek. When exiting, you see a full-scale replica of Poe's X-Wing and board a transport. Shortly after takeoff, the transport is intercepted by the First Order, who use a tractor beam to pull you into a Star Destroyer. After stepping out into the Star Destroyer, you are greeted by tens of stormtroopers and a view out of the hangar bay where you see more Star Destroyers in the distance. You are then funneled into an interrogation room with Kylo Ren and Hux, but suddenly the Resistance mounts a rescue where you begin the final leg of the journey and board the ride vehicle. Finn greets you, letting you know what is happening, and you are guided by a droid to escape pods which will take you back to Batuu. But escape isn't that easy. On the ride, you will see a Probe Droid, Troopers blasting at you, full-size AT-ATs, and Kylo Ren who pursues you throughout the ride. This is just a brief description of Rise of the Resistance. There is so much to experience on the ride that you will need to get on multiple times to experience it all. This ride is great for most people as there aren't a lot of thrill aspects. The one part to be aware of is there is a small drop at the end of the ride, but it is very short. 🔍 Where to find it: Located at the main entrance of Galaxy's Edge when you enter near Muppet Vision 3D.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
@FalconSquadron
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers run is not only a ride but an interactive game. Hondo Onaka puts you in charge of taking the Millennium Falcon out in search of Coaxium. Of course the First Order sends Tie pilots out to try and stop you but you won't let them succeed because you are a smuggler after all! Play the roll of pilot, gunner or engineer and if you succeed at your mission Hondo will pay you a "fair" amount of credits for your assistance. This ride is a motion simulator so if you are prone to motion sickness this could potentially be a bit of a rough ride. How rough is also dependent on how good your pilots are. đź’ˇ Ride Tip: I have found that being a pilot helps a lot with motion sickness as you are controlling the movement plus there is air being blown on your face which helps a ton.
