Most people think Boston has all the best restaurants in Massachusetts, so I’m here to shed light on some little known spots outside the city that are worth the trip! This is a shortened version of the longer guide. If you like what you see, I hope you will consider purchasing the full guide.

South Shore Bar Pizzq

Cape Cod Cafe Pizza
@deleteduser698
The birthplace of the bar pizza, they are still using the original pans from years ago when this style of pizza was first invented. Make sure to get the Greek salad because it’s absolutely a show stopper. Don’t go too crazy on the pizza toppings … you want to make sure you fully experience that crispy crust.

Town Spa Pizza

Another spot for bar pizza. It may sound weird but get a ham pizza with the crust a little extra crispy, and a side of honey mustard for dipping.

Nostalgic 1954 rail car diner serving hearty American comfort favorites from morning till night. Great meatloaf, breakfast and pie.

Jake's Seafood Restaurant
@deleteduser698
Jake’s seafood is a staple in Hull, a small town that’s home to Nantasket Beach off route 3 but before the Cape. Jake’s is both a seafood restaurant and market, serving up some damn fresh fish with tons of preparations from grilled to fried, blackened and the classic baked anew England style with butter and ritz breadcrumbs. Don’t sleep in the scrod or the buffalo shrimp.

Breweries

Tree House Brewing Company
@deleteduser698
While they’ve started to open outposts closer to Boston, the original brewery in Charlton is absolutely worth the trek. Before expanding, you used to only be able to drink 64oz per visit while onsite. People would literally drive to the brewery and spend thousands of dollars on beer since it isn’t sold in stores. One of the best breweries around and make sure to get the peach IPA.

A brewery and taproom with a nice beer selection, open and airy space and some great events and food trucks.
