Step 1. Pay Tourism Fee

From 14 February 2024, the Balinese government introduced a new tourism fee of IDR150,000 (Approx. AUD$15) for all international tourists travelling to Bali.

This Tourism Fee is a form of support that aims to protect the customs, traditions, arts and culture, and local wisdom of the Balinese people. Efforts and innovations will continue to be made to maintenance the culture and the natural environment in Bali. There will also continue to be an improvement in the quality of services.

Step 2. Apply for a 30 day Electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VoA)

You can apply for e-VOA 14 days before your travel. However, you are advised to create an e-VOA request at least 48 hours before your departure, otherwise you might not receive it in time.

Preparation:

1. Have a digital copy of your passport photo. If you don't have one, you can get it done at your local post office for around $20.

2. Have your passport handy.

3. Have the address of your accomodation.

Application Process:

4. Create an account.

5. Click on step number 1: "Apply."

6. Select your country.

7. The main purpose of my visit to Indonesia is: General, Family or Social

8. The sub purpose of my visit to Indonesia is: Tourism, Family Visit, and Transit

9. I want to explore & choose a visa: B1 Tourism (Visa On Arrival)

10. Upload the required documents.

11. Review & Submit, make sure to double check all the information is correct and matches your passport.

12. Once done, you will then need to submit it by clicking the submit button at the bottom.

13. Proceed to payment. Cost is 500k rupiah (approx $50 AUD).

Approval:

13. Expect your visa to arrive within 48 hours, although it often arrives quicker.

14. Take a screenshot of your approved visa. While you won’t need it at the airport, it’s always good to have handy in case you are asked.

Step 3. Fill out a Customs Declaration Form

This form can only be completed 3 days before your arrival into Bali.

Take a screenshot of the QR code as you’ll need to show it to the airport officials.

When you arrive to Bali

1. As you step into the arrival hall, head to the far left side, bypassing all of the queues. Look for the digital entry gates.

2. Insert your passport into the digital entry gate, and the system will electronically register your arrival.

4. Head towards the exit and pass through the declaration checkpoint.

5. Have your prepared declaration QR code ready. You won't need to present your passport.

6. Once the airport officials have scanned your QR code, you’re all done! You’ve made it through the Bali Airport and ready to enjoy your holiday ✅

Extra Tip: If you'd like to be greeted by your own personal driver holding a sign with your name, and save money compared to airport prices, you can organise a driver through here ⬇️
