Oregon's Highway of Waterfalls

Oregon's Highway of Waterfalls

Emily Geo
Highway 138 through South / Central Oregon is one of the best routes in the country for chasing waterfalls. It weaves along the North Umpqua River and takes you past over 15 waterfalls. If you're visiting Crater Lake National Park this is a great throughfare to explore. In this guide you'll find a map featuring the waterfalls that appear along this scenic drive.

Roseburg, OR

If you're heading East along 138/N Umpqua Highway you'll find these waterfeatures - some are slightly off the main turnpike, so you can choose your own adventure, try to hit them all, or spend multiple days in the area exploring these sparkling cascades.

You'll also probably want to check out one of Oregon's treasured Hot Springs while you're in the area.

Umpqua Hot Springs

About 120 miles (~2.25 hours) South of Bend and short steep climb to a secluded "tub" will expose you to a magical experience that you won't forget. Nudity is common at most Oregon hot springs and the water temperatures are truly toasty.
