First Day

1. Stephansdom/ Stephansplatz

A magical way to start your trip is by going into the heart of the city: Stephansplatz. To get here you can take the U-Bahn (Subway) that makes you arrive in front of the cathedral. You can go inside the Dom and see it from a distance, but if you really want to visit you have to pay a small price.

From here you can just walk around the Innere Stadt, where there are some typical wiener houses, but also many places to go shopping.

2. Hofburg Wien: Sissi Museum

The next stop is Hofburg, the castle where the princess Sissi lived for a very long time. The entrance is not free, however I feel like it's worth every penny, because inside you'll understand everything about Sissi's life while also seeing some replicas of her dresses and things she used, and while also walking in her rooms, which are honestly breathtaking.

3. Volksgarten and places nearby

Just outside of the Hofburg palace there's this stunning garden called Volksgarten, perfect place to realx with your friends and family or even to get a bite to eat. Nearby the Volksgarten there's the Parlament which is a must see even just from outside, just because of the architecture.

On the other side of the road there is also an area filled with museums such as the Nauturhistorisches Museum Wien( Natural history), Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien (Art history) and Leopold Museum, just to mention a few; they all have an entrance fee but I promise you, it's all worth it.

Second Day

1. Albertina Museum

One of the most important art museums of all Europe (and one of my favourites!), it's a must see. Here you can find countless art periods and artists. Honestly can't describe it because it's so great that trying to explain it would be like ripping off all its life.

2. Wiener Staatsoper

Behind the Albertina Museum there's the Wiener Staatsoper, which would be amazing even just to see from the outside, but my honest advice is to have a guided tour inside, because it's spectacular. Just outside there's also the Hotel Sacher Wien where you can get an amazing Sacher with a wonderful view.

3. For music lovers: Haus der Musik and Mozarthaus

If you are a music lover (or even just culture and art lover) this two museums are exactly what you need.

If you're traveling with family, Haus der Musik it's a perfect place for children because it's interactive and children (but also adults) can have a 365 experience.

The Mozarthaus is another must see, since Mozart is one of the most important composers and musicians of all time, but it's also very big and fun to visit.

Third Day

1.  Prater and Donau

Even if you don't like amusement parks, the Prater is one of the most amazing parks in Vienna; it has a place to chill with your friends but also have fun in the Madame Tussaud Museum or on the Riesenrad, to see a breathtaking view of all the city.

For the rest of the day I would relax near the Donau, staying a away from the stress of the city for a while.

2. Hundertwasserhaus

It's a very weird and peculiar village, with colored houses with a different kind of architecture than the usual houses in Vienna. There, you can find many tourist shops but also places to eat and to buy presents for your loved ones.

Friendly advice

If you go to Vienna it is a must that you eat a Sacher (typical cake born in Vienna) and a Wiener Schnitzel. The best places to eat Sacher are without a doubt Cafè Central and Hotel Sacher Wien, even though they might cost a little bit they're going to be worth it because of the atmosphere inside.

To eat the Wiener Schnitzel I reccomend an amazing place a little bit outside of the city centre but for the prices and the quality is more than worth it; this place is "Schnitzel Wirt" in the "Neubau" neighbourhood.

Another friendly reminder is to buy a transport card for the time you're visiting, so that you can move freely around the city, using every mean of transportation without having to spend too much money everyday.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hi! I'm a ninteen year old girl whose hobby is traveling. You might think that I'm a little too young to know stuff about traveling and to give out advice, but I've been traveling since I was a little girl, because even though I was born and raised in Italy, I'm also half bulgarian from my dad's side, so, since I can remember, we've been going to Bulgaria at least once a year. Also, my family has always been keen on traveling and whenever we had the chance we would go away even just for a few days. I started traveling alone when I was about fifteen years old, just by going to a friend's house, and then the next year I got on a plane all alone for the first time (and haven't stopped since). I think that you guys should trust me with advice because that's honestly all I can give you, all my facts are based on experience and I wouldn't want you to miss out on what a place might offer; plus, I really love helping people and it brings me a lot of joy when they benefit from my advice, in the end it's like I also benefit, because I think that every experience, even just a small interaction with a person can be life changing.
