Copenhagen was supposed to be my Erasmus destination a few years ago but I ended up choosing not to go. I must say, I have always been attracted by its hyggie, content and sustainable way of living. They call it the “happiest country” of Europe and now I am starting to understand why
Tivoli Gardens
@giuliamartini
This is the most famous amusement park in Copenhagen.
Open all summer until September 25th, it offers rides and fun games for everyone in the family, as well as an incredible food court where you will find anything you might be craving, from Italian, to Mexican, to Thai, to Japanese and more..
The park is beautiful per se, even just walking around it would be worth the entrance fee ( which is quite expensive, like anything else in Denmark) but I do recommend you to go visit whenever there is an event happening and go later in the evening so that you can enjoy the amazing firework show at the end of each day ❤

The Little Mermaid
@giuliamartini
Everyone that comes to Copenhagen knows that at some point, he will have to go and look at the Little Mermaid Statue.
I must say, it is nothing special, it is literally the smallest statue ever ( and not even well done) on a small rock right on the coast. It is usually extremely crowded and it is impossible to capture the moment with a nice picture.
Nevertheless I do recommend you go as it is a good excuse to visit the Park that lies around it, it is amazing, there are lots of other more interesting statues and you can top up the experience at the Seaside restaurant ( https://seasidecph.dk/ ) which offers 7 different cuisines in one location and the possibility to enjoy the sunset from a sunbed with a nice drink in hand

Nyhavn
@giuliamartini
There are 2 reasons why I decided to add Amalienborg as a second step from Nyhavn.
1. Nyhavn alone is nice with its colorful houses and canal, but there are so many places you can find the same view with half the people and many more where you can enjoy an even better view
2. The way from Nyhavn to Amalienborg (along the canal) is pretty unique and definitely worth walking through
You will have the chance to see where Danes usually enjoy their summer days: Ofelia Beach. It is not a real beach but it gives the perfect vacation vibe and you can enjoy the peace and calm of a real day at the beach, drink in hand, sunbeds, good food and, if you dare, you can also jump into the water 🙂

Det Kgl. Bibliotek, The Royal Library
@giuliamartini
This might sound weird but the Royal Library of Copenhagen is also a touristic attraction because it has the best view on the canal, a breathtaking architectonical design and a nice little garden in the back
If you don’t feel like going inside in all silence, you can just enjoy the view from outside and relax at the cafe
