First fly into New Chitose Airport, just outside of Sapporo. Use JAL direct website for the best price on airfares. It's about a 1hr 45min flight from Tokyo and will cost around 15000-23000Yen. (https://www.jal.co.jp/jp/en/dom/module/).
Next we need to get to Niseko. First thing to note is that you want to stay in Hirafu, not the town of Niseko itself. You can either take a 3hr bus straight to Hirafu for about 5000Yen. You can also take a train which takes about 4hrs, the train goes through Sapporo and around the Northern coast, despite taking longer the scenery on the train is amazing.
Owashi Lodge - $$$ - Prime location for getting the first runs of the day, right up near the ski lifts and just uphill from the centre from town - https://owashilodge.com/
White Bear - $$$$ - Great pub vibe and right on the main drag of town, get in quick I have never seen this place not sold out - https://whitebear.ne.jp/
Australian through and through. Grew up in Sydney's Northern Beaches surfing everyday I can in Summer and getting down to the ski slopes in the Winter. Constant road-trips up Australia's East coast, I know the Melbourne to Brisbane coastline like the back of my hand. Iv'e travelled extensively to Europe, Asia, Central America and South America. Always looking for new adventures, surfing skiing, hiking and partying.
Favourite country: Japan Spent a total of 3 months travelling in Japan, skiing and surfing. Absolutely in love with the culture there and the people. Also best food in the world hands down.
Just wrapped up a big 7 month backpacking trip. 6 weeks around Europe then 3 months in Central America and 3 months in South America. Blending a good mix of extensive pre-planning and 'go with the flow' travelling. Not down for lying on the beach relaxing reading a book, thats not my kind of holiday. It's non-stop action everyday all the time, live for adventure and getting off the beaten track.
