One of my favorites is Coffee Fellows. Centrally located with a variety of seating to choose from. And the best part to it: a front-row seat overlooking the bustling Vitosha Blvd. I'm personally a frequent visitor there and have noticed fellow regular customers with their laptops.
Altruist - Urban Coffee Shop & Bakery

Pastries, Arabica espresso coffee, and finger-licking cakes from "Neshto Sladko" - it doesn't get better than this! You can easily sit down in this spacious cafe to work, read a book, or to admire the interesting exhibits Altruist often organizes.
PS. Try the raspberry cake with pistachio - an absolute must-try!
Barista Coffee and More

Just around the corner from Altruist, you'll find another cosy cafe - Barista Coffee. Besides the delicious snacks and richly flavored coffee, Barista Coffee is a great place to sit down with your laptop and get things done. Need to print something? For your convenience, there's a printer accessible.

Memento

Memento is a Greek chain of cafes scattered across Sofia. While there are many locations to chose from, I highly recommend Memento at NDK (the National Palace of Culture). With seating outside in the warmer days, Memento's inside seating offers a cosy atmosphere and chill music.
Costa Coffee

Last but not least, Costa Coffee is a popular coffee chain across Europe. You'll find Costa Coffee in several locations in the center, including within a few feet from the National Theater and its beautiful water fountain park, but I recommend a quieter location at Sheynovo Str.. Tucked behind the University of Sofia, this coffee shop is a great place to sit and work in peace and quiet.
