Making Family Memories in Destin

My parents and grandparents brought my siblings and I to Destin when we were kids and now we are realizing just how great this spot is for our kiddos as well.

Day #1
We loaded up the car early Wednesday morning and started the drive around 5:30am. It's about a 5.5 hour drive and with rain in the forecast for at least part of the next few days we wanted to get the kids as much beach time as possible. I packed sandwiches and their 'GO' boxes with their car entertainment and we were off.
My parents went down a day early so we could store our stuff at their condo until we could check into our own.

11am-1pm : Beach time
1pm-2pm : Checking into our hotel
2pm-3pm: I ran over to Publix just down the street to grab our cold foods and fresh fruits (due to expense we brought as much as we could).
5pm-6pm: We ended the day grabbing Firehouse subs as a simple dinner for everyone!
