UES.
@emilie
Ice Cream and Cocktails? Say no more. UES ice cream shop is in, you guessed it, the Upper East Side (UES). The ice cream flavors are delicious and on rotation, but the best secret is in the storage room. Ask the cashier to see the storage room and watch as a hidden door is revealed, and you are taken to a chic bar. The cocktails are fabulous, and all have fun names -- like `Girls Gossip On The East` or `2nd Avenue Subway.` No reservations are needed but check their website to see if a private event is being held.

Please Don't Tell
@emilie
PDT offers award-winning cocktails -- inside the hotdog joint, Criff's dogs. To enter, you have to call through a telephone kiosk in the hotdog shop, and you will soon relax in a leather booth with a cocktail in hand. If ever you do want a hotdog -- they come through their own private entrance through a hole in the wall. Be warned, though, seats are scant, and PDT is popular -- passwords change daily and are based on reservations made that day. Call PDT at 3 pm to have a chance to come here.
