A weekend in Kitsilano  | Vancouver, BC

Start the morning by heading down to Kitsilano beach and continue walking towards the Vancouver Maritime Museum. Enjoy the view and make sure to snap some photos along the way. 

You might not have noticed that the roads going north to south are streets and roads going east to west are avenues.  

 Once you reach Cypress St, walk down until you get to Siegel's Bagels for some breakfast.

If you forgot to pack a toothbrush, soap or something else stop by at Dollarama.

There's a quaint coffee shop on the corner of Arbutus St. and 6th ave.

If you're here to shop or just hang out, head to 4th avenue and head west.

Head to Jitters Caffe in the afternoon for a smoothie, sandwich or even a glass of wine. The walls are covered with beautiful artwork. If you want a nice place to people watch, sit outside on the small patio.

I love exploring The Kitchen Corner. It looks small from the outside but is huge inside.

Go home and rest or keep exploring and see what you can do at night.

Dining options on Yew St between 1st Ave and Cornwall. From tacos to vegetarian options to burgers. Yew St is the meeting point for Kitsilano in summer.

Continue on Cypress Street until you encounter the Arbutus Greenway just before 6th ave. Explore the area and observe the flowers and plants, or just sit along the path. The Arbutus Greenway is approximately 9 kilometers (5.59 miles) long. 

 You can choose to walk towards Granville Island which you go easily spend 2 - 4+ hours.

Below is a list of places for a night out. However, there are plenty of places to try in the area, but it all depends on budget, food preferences and ambiance.

Start the morning with some fresh croissants at Plaisir Sucré. 

Once you reach at the corner of Alma and Broadway walk east on Broadway. You'll come across lots of shops, restaurants and so much more.

Choose an avenue, but you'll actually be strolling down laneways to Alma and Broadway.

Describe lanways, "Laneways are activated or enhanced alleys or lanes and are reimagined as "people-places," according to the City of Vancouver." 

Watch out for laneway houses, gardens, antique autos, and much more.

Another favourite gift store, Step Back. 

You can't come to Vancouver and not have sushi.

If you're looking for some tea at a cool place check out East is East. 

Take a little trip to Puerto Mexico, Tacos and Mexican Products for some tacos.

Listen to the waves while you wind down a busy day.

 As you approach the Kitsilano Yacht Club, keep moving west until you reach the base of Point Grey Park.
