โž€ When to visit?

ใƒปMt Fuji is not always visible.ย  Visibility is best between Oct to Feb.ย  On average, there is 40% chance to see the whole Mt Fuji, 20% partial view, and 40% no view.ย  Higher chance to see Mt Fuji in the mornings, compared to afternoons.

ใƒปMt Fuji is in a beautiful scenic location with lakes and forests.ย  If you have time, I would recommend at least one or two night stay, to relax in the outdoor hot spring of the serene nature and to increase your chance to meet Mt Fuji ๐Ÿ˜‰

ย ใƒปTo climb Mt Fuji, the summit ๐Ÿ—ป is open only from July to mid September.ย  You can go to the mid station all year round.

โž Where to visit?

ใƒปFujiyoshida city is the rural town at the foot of Mt Fuji.

ใƒปHakone and Izu are other beautiful places to view Mt Fuji from afar.

โ‘ข How to visit?

Tour Bus

Day trip from Tokyo by tour bus is the most frequent and easiest way to visit Mt Fuji.ย  If you only have one day and you want to see all the major sights, this is the best way.ย  Because public transport in Mt Fuji area is infrequent, the tour bus will efficiently take you around the sights with minimal wait time for transportation.

Train

Fuji Express Train from Shinjuku station directly to Kawaguchiko station (approx 2hrs) is the easiest train ride with no transit (4,130 jpy / one way), although it runs only a few times a day.ย  Other trains with transits usually at Otsuki station are available for cheaper.ย

Bus

Bus takes approx 2hrs (about 2,500 jpy / one way).ย  Departs from: Tokyo, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Akihabara, Ikebukuro.

Bus duration from Shinjuku is 1:40, Shibuya 2:20, Tokyo 1:50 to get to Kawaguchiko.ย
