1. Tipping is always appreciated. But not mandatory
2. DO NOT take photos of locals without asking them first. Many will say no, some will say yes, but most will ask to be paid in return, not a lot just some cents. But it is sure important to ask or they may get angry. The reason why this is like this is because in the past a famous photographer won a big prize and a lot of money for a picture she took of a local woman and she didn't give her anything as compensation. So the woman chose to pursue legal action, and she won. From that point forward, the topic became quite delicate for the local community.
3. Keep in mind that, especially in Marrakesh due to the high influx of tourists, people tend to speak multiple languages including English, French, Italian, and Spanish. I'm telling you this to avoid any embarrassment like the one we did 😅
4 I don't know what you're used to, but for me, the worst thing in terms of food was the oil. One evening, it really upset my stomach. So keep en eye on that
