Preparation

-Look for airplane tickets or public transport.

-For airplane tickets skyscanner has the cheapest options. You can also use Kiwi.com it’s similar to skyscanner.

-When u got the airplane ticket, search for a place to stay.

-I use GuideGeek by Matador on whatsapp ( +1 (205) 892-2070) to search for the best places to visit, advices and basically every information that i need.

-I always do the plan for all the days and backup plans in case of any problems like weather conditions and so on. The app that helps me with planning what i’m going to do on wich day is Wanderlog. I recommend it. It’s easy to use, it’s free and if you want you can also pay for some features.

Good to know before travelling to Marseille:

***13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th arrondissement, are dangerous. The Bellevue on Felix Pyat in the 3rd arrondissement and the Hauts de Mazargues in the 9th arrondissement are particularly notorious.

***At night, ensure you do not walk in a narrow and dark alley.

***Pickpockets often work for gangs so avoid deserted areas, and keep your items close. They also operate in bars and restaurants too.
