Fire & Brimstone - Wood Fired Pizza Restaurant
@kayladeitz
Inside Barn One, this wood fired pizza is (no pun intended) fire. They also have items like baked Mac and cheese, sandwiches, short ribs, and a cast iron skillet cookies. Right across the way is “12 West” a brewery, where you can sit and eat your pizza with a nice cold beer, or you can grab a bottle of wine at garage east and drink that in the seating area for Fire and Brimstone.

Garage-East
@kayladeitz
A stone throw from Barn One is Garage East. Serving up sandwiches, apps, and wine. This is perfect for lunch, especially if it’s nice outside. They even have live music sometimes! Our go-to is to split two sandwiches and our favorite bottle of their house rose (you can even get bottles to go!).

Cream of the Crop
@kayladeitz
We all scream for this cream! But for real, sooooo good. Their vegan chocolate sorbet is to die for and their seasonal flavors are so creative and different (for example: Mothra- orange blossom cream, peach compote, crunchy honeycomb bits, like come on!). You can check their website for flavors because they always change but sometimes it’s not right.. so it’s kind of always a surprise!

Undertow Gilbert
@kayladeitz
This “below deck” themed bar serves up some strong tropical drinks that will for sure give you sea legs. A fun experience for a 2 person date night sitting at one of the portholes that looks out to the “ocean”. They only have two bigger tables and a bar top that can fit more than two people, so reservations (even for 2) are needed. You also pay online for your first two drinks in order to save your spot (very intense, but worth it). Thunderstorms and all, this is such a cool experience.

The White Rabbit
@kayladeitz
This speakeasy in downtown Gilbert requires a pssword to get into that you can find online. Once you’re in it gives big prohibition vibes with its secret door/bookcase entrance. They serve apps, flatbreads, and dessert alongside their cocktail menu which makes this place the perfect night cap or starter to your evening. If you go during lower traffic times it’s also a very intimate date night location. The “delightfully devilish” was my favorite drink!

Peixoto Coffee Roasters
@kayladeitz
Indoor and outdoor seating so you can bring your pups! “Pay-show-toe” has your classic coffees mixed with decadent and interesting seasonal specials that you won’t see anywhere else. They sell local crafts such as candles and earrings as well as local pastries and merch. Their coffee always has me buzzing. I get so much done whenever I go here if I’m lucky enough to snag a table!
