Overview & Recommendations
For this trip, we recommend getting a 5-day Tell Pass starting on Day 2 of the itinerary. You can, of course, adapt based on your timeline and take a shorter duration Tell Pass.
There will be a few additional tickets (to and from Zurich). For these tickets, simply take a train ticket on the SBB app, or at an SBB ticket machine at the train station.
If Lucerne is part of a wider Switzerland Trip, you can consider the Swiss Travel Pass too. The Swiss Travel Pass works well in Lucerne, covering for free the Rigi, the Stanserhorn, the funicular to Stoos, and any boat trip on the Lake Lucerne.
