crail harbour
with 265 days of yearly rain, scotland may not sound like the ideal destination. however, that’s great for us, as it remains quite empty all year round for endless weekend adventures off the beaten path. under the rainclouds lie crystal blue waters, lush fern groves, snow capped hills, and, when the sun pokes through, the occasional rainbow makes its grand appearance. not many countries have such a vast quantity and quality of unexplored, yet accessible beauty, which is why we are lucky to call it home. even if it does get quite rainy… on that note, fife is the perfect place to explore, as it is the sunniest region in scotland! enjoy your weekend.

the lack of this certain food in scotland is something that we are regularly affected by, but, look no further, as this restaurant is accessible by bus and will have you equal parts surprised and confused as to why it is where it is. *only open on the weekends.*

after a lovely walk down fife coastal path, this area is very unassuming, yet an exciting place to explore. with wild garlic growing in the spring, and the waves lapping gently along the rocks, this beach is also an amazing spot for a night away from civilization. if you are able to find the rope that leads up something hidden in the hill, grab on and start the climb!
