For street-food lovers!✨ Roti, also known as “farata” has been my favorite typical food in Mauritius. Pd: And the cheapest one (10 cent)
This Indian pancake-like bread can be found almost anywhere in Mauritius- on the streets, at the market, anywhere! Roti is a traditional Indian flat bread that is served hot and fresh with dishes like meat or vegetable curry.
In this guide you will find my FAVORITE PLACES to find the BEST ROTI in Mauritius!

My favorite thing about the Roti is that it can be eaten at any time of the day! You can it eat as breakfast with some butter or plain. You can have it as lunch or dinner with various curries and pickles.
But if you don’t like spicy 🌶️!!!! TAKE CARE AND DO NOT ASK FOR CHILI SOUCE!!
