Where to stay
I have been to Barcelona a few times and stayed in different areas each time. I think my favorite area has to be the gothic quarter. Depending on the time of year this area can be a tad more pricey but it is definitely worth it for the walkabliity aspect and the proximity to landmarks like the Arch De Triomph, La Rambla, and Park GĆ¼ell. All locations you are going to want to visit. Which makes this area perfect to be able to walk or take a quick metro ride to these locations. This is the best area to just walk out of your airbnb/hotel and just wander. Get lost in the streets of the gothic quarter and explore. I promise youāll have some good finds!
Other great areas are Santa Catarina, or Barceloneta which is near the port.
