I'm traveling to Copenhagen in May 2023. This is my list of 100+ destinations based on tens of hours of research from well-trusted sources that range from personal contacts to travel experts and publications.
The list is categorized by place type, inclusive of restaurants, cafés, shops, museums, and playgrounds. While my research accounts for the fact that I'll have my 2-year-old daughter in tow, I don't exclude things because of that.
After my trip in May, I will update this based on my experience and highlights.

Sonny is a charming café in central Copenhagen that's bustling any day of the week. While it wasn't the best café meal we had, it was fun to people watch over brunch.
They offer generous indoor and outdoor seating, and its central location makes it an easy stop as part of your Copenhagen itinerary.

Atelier September is one of those cafés that I wish I could export to my hometown. Whether it's pastries, coffee, or hot dishes like their omelette or pancake, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I visited several times, and nothing I sampled hit a wrong note.
Both locations offer indoor and outdoor seating and a full menu. This location in Hellerup is a great stop if you take a bike ride to any of the destinations north of the city (Ordrupgaard, Charlottenburg, Arne Jacobsen Gas Station).
What to order: French omelette, Kyoto-style fruit, Yogurt & granola

Apollo Bar is a Copenhagen museum café, bar and restaurant located within the courtyard of the historical cultural institution Kunsthal Charlottenborg.
Guest are welcome to drop in, just to enjoy a cup of coffee, a glass of wine or a drink at the bar.
Apollo Kantine is located in the biggest room behind Apollo Bar. Every Monday to Friday an unpretentious vegetarian lunch dish is served for students from the academy and everyone else.
