My TOP 10 Waterfalls in Mexico 🇲🇽!
MEXICO'S NORTH
My favorite waterfall in Mexico's north is Cascadas del ChipitÃn. Now - it's not the easiest waterfall to get to - not by a bit. In fact,  it will probably involve a very steep descent into the middle of the mountains of Nuevo León for you to get a glimpse of this waterfall. But, after winding through narrow stone alleyways, you'll finally get to this waterfall. What's impressive about it is the massive cavern that serves as a backdrop behind the waterfall and the crystal clear blue water below it. This is a local secret that I didn't even know about until my local friend told me about it and - let me tell you, it's well worth a visit!
San Luis PotosÃ
The province of San Luis Potosà is known for some incredible waterfalls. This is a region of Mexico that is called the "Huasteca", referring to the ancient civilization that used to live in these mountains. There are so many waterfalls that I love in this part of Mexico, but I'm just going to name a few here. However, you could easily spend a month just exploring all the different waterfalls in la Huasteca!
Cascada El Naranjo
A short hike from the town of El Naranjo is Cascada El Naranjo. Crystal clear blue water, an insane looking rock face and refreshing temperatures - this is where the locals go for a cool dip in the waterfall. Unless you are a local, you probably will never have heard of this place (and in fact, I think I was the only non-Mexican there when I visited). However, this may easily be my favorite waterfall in all of Mexico!
