Ciutat Vella
Picture this: cosy streets, people talking and laughing, and history at every turn. From this area, you will only need a 5-15 minute walk to get to spots like the Valencia Cathedral and Central Market. Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is a half-hour trek while hitting the beach takes about 45 minutes using public transport.
Eixample
Modern, spacious streets, and lots of chic places. Stay here for a more modern vibe. Walking to the city centre is a doable 10-15 minute trip or a 5-10 minute taxi ride. The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias? About 15-20 minutes away. The beach? Plan on a 30-40 minute ride.
Outside Centre
If you fancy a quieter spot away from the hustle, the ones below are. I tried to pick places where you can get around with public transportation or taxis and within 30-40 minutes of travel time.
Near the beach
If you want to enjoy the sea and beach more, these might be perfect for you. It will take either public transportation, or taxis to get to the city center, but you will have the beach at a walking distance, if not in front of you.
Resorts
If you want to relax, most resorts will be outside the city and will offer that luxury escape. Just know, they might need a bit more travel to get to the city centre or the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias.
