If you have a limited amount of time to enjoy the capital city of San Salvador, this is a great guide for you! After taking multiple weekend trips I've created this short itinerary to share some of my favorite places to enjoy delicious food, coffee, artisanal shopping, stunning views and more!

How to get there
El Salvador only has one international airport (SAL). Depending on what city you're flying from there will be different airline options, we typically fly Avianca or American Airlines.
Where to Stay
After arriving at the El Salvador International Airport, stay in one of my favorite neighborhoods. It's safe, and has so many restaurants, coffee shops and places to shop nearby.
Antiguo Cuscatlán

Antiguo Cuscatlán is a very popular and safe area in El Salvador. It's very close to the U.S Embassy and about a 30 min drive to the historical downtown and 20 min drive from the San Salvador volcano.
