Nicosia is the capital of the Republic of Cyprus. However, it is the last divided capital in Europe.🇨🇾
Long story short, the island has been divided since the Turkish invasion in 1974. One-third of the island remains occupied to this day.
There are 3 checkpoints in Nicosia. Two of them are walkable.
