Glastonbury UK
A journey into the soul of Avalon.
Welcome to Glastonbury, a small town nestled in the rolling hills of Somerset in southwest England. This historic town is known for its rich culture and deep spiritual roots, making it a popular destination for travelers from all over the world. From it's iconic Tor to vibrant music scene, Glastonbury has something for everyone.
It's famous for its spiritual and mystical traditions and believed to be the site of the mythical Isle of Avalon, where legendary King Arthur was said to have been buried. The town is also home to the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, a former monestary that was once the richest in England. Glastonbury is also said to be a portal to the Otherworld, if you feel a connection to the Fae realms.
In this guide, I will go through some sacred sites and must see attractions that are rich in wordly history, as well as the best places to shop, eat and drink. I also include where to stay, as well as two potential day trips if you feel like getting out of town and into the countryside!
To note: Despite so many attractions being close together, I highly recommend not visiting more than 2 per day to allow yourself time to have an experience in each place without rushing around. This is a high vibrational place, so you're soaking up a lot of energy being at these locations. Moving slowly will allow you to really feel it and take it all in.
