Northern India - Eateries in the Mountain Cities
Shimla
The Summer Capital of India
Your trip isn't complete to Shimla without taking a stroll on the Mall road or the Ridge which is the landmark for any Indians to identify it as the city that was the Summer Capital of the British.
The Gaiety Theatre and the Gaiety Club are the remnants of the Britishers in the city. The decor and the decorum, very British and has an old world charm.
Not very far from Shimla, only 45 minutes away, is a beautiful area of numerous orchards - Mashobra. If you are looking to be with this majestic view but away from the crowd, this would be the place for you. Not many places to eat around, but the Airbnbs and/ the Hotels provide comfortable stays.
The many old eateries have a story to tell of their own and the people who have been visiting it since years.
