Parents Weekend in Denver, Colorado
Seeing a show is always at the top of everyone’s bucket list, but the park is always open during the day to check out and has a handful of short to moderate hikes!
Golden is a charming town not far from Denver, home to a gorgeous river running through the center AND the legendary Coors brewery.
This was my personal fave- make this one an overnight and catch the Royal Gorge train for stunning canyon views. Your ticket can be customized to come with a meal, or make the food a la carte to allow for more time spent out on the open air car.
Riding the train takes you right under the famous Royal Gorge suspension bridge. If you’re feeling daring, take the whole fam on a scenic walk across the bridge after your ride!
Things to do in Denver:
My mom LOVED tea at the Brown Palace in downtown Denver. The food, drinks, and ambience make this an unforgettable & classy experience.
Denver has some of the country’s most colorful & prominent street art. You can take official tours starting near Larimer Street, or just wander the streets and see how many you can find.
I love how many food halls Denver has, all the options make it so easy to decide on a dining establishment and satisfy everyone’s cravings. Denver Milk Market also offers free drag brunch bingo every Sunday! Some other food halls I highly recommend are Denver Centeal Market and Zeppelin Station.
