Exploring Jupiter, Florida On a Long Weekend.

Exploring Jupiter, Florida On a Long Weekend.

Rhonda Glisson (Time Travel)
Florida is always an ocean lovers paradise and a visit to Jupiter is no exception. Located on the Atlantic coast and only being about 2 hours from Miami, and about 2 1/2 hours from the Orlando airport makes Jupiter an easy destination from several of the major airports. We spent 3 nights and 4 fun FILLED days exploring the area. This guide contains 8 fabulous places and fun things we did along with 1 Tiki Bar that should be considered a destination all by itself. We went to 4 restaurants, and stayed at one amazing Airbnb. I've shared my own photos and detailed info for most. Follow this guide for a guaranteed fun filled time in beautiful Jupiter . I also include many of the photos I took at each place.

The Nature Conservancy Blowing Rocks Preserve
@rhondaglisson
There are very few rocky shores along Florida coasts but here is one that is absolutely gorgeous. Be sure to check the tide times as you will want to be there at high tide. Sadly, we just missed it. This is an destination you want to make while you're in the area.

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum
@rhondaglisson
One of the very few lighthouses on the East Coast of Florida and this one is awesome. Be sure to climb to the top for an unbelievable view. For all the info on visiting check out their website.

Florida Shark Diving
@rhondaglisson
This was by far the coolest and most surreal thing I have ever done (Yes, that IS me in the photos). If you think there is no way you would ever do something like this, GO AHEAD, take the plunge. The scariest part is all the anxiety BEFORE you get in the water. This is a great group of people to go out with. They are very professional and safety conscious and will work hard to make this a very stress free adventure for you. You won't be disappointed--trust me!

Coral Cove Park
@rhondaglisson
Coral Cove is THE SPOT to catch the most spectacular sunrise in the area. A must see experience. This is a stunningly beautiful beach to spend the day lounging, or swimming; just be mindful of the really strong undertow at times.

Cato's Bridge Snorkeling
@rhondaglisson
There are so many places to snorkel in the area, but below Cato's Bridge was a really nice, out of the way place for me to "practice." Gradual, sloping water was easy to get in and out of and if you get out far enough, fish galore.

DuBois Park
@rhondaglisson
Dubois is a very nice park with places to swim, snorkel, kayak and picnic. It's also a wonderful place to catch a gorgeous sunset--one of the few places in Jupiter.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Rhonda Glisson (Time Travel)
I am a traveler who loves to research and a researcher who loves to travel. I spend untold hours, days and even weeks researching my next destination. I pick destinations that peak my interest--most are ocean or wildlife related. One was taking off to Churchill, MB, at the bottom of the Arctic Circle, for the annual Beluga Whale migration--all by myself. That's just me, I do most of my traveling solo. I also love photography and have my camera with me every step of the way. I spent most of my life living in Georgia, but now I live in the gorgeous Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. If you would like a personalized itinerary to anywhere that I haven't released a guide for, please visit my website, www.timetravelrglisson.com, and let's get you headed towards your dream destination. I put in the time and you put in the travel.
