Best time to Visit Komodo Islands

You can explore the Komodo National Park any time of the year. The region has a tropical climate with two seasons: the dry season spans from May to October, while the wet season lasts from November to April.

June to August is considered the peak season, so if you're cool with crowds, make sure to secure your reservations early for the Komodo tours and Labuan Bajo accommodation.

How to get to Komodo Islands

To reach the Komodo Islands, you'll need to book a flight to Labuan Bajo Komodo Airport. If you're traveling from Bali, like we did, you can catch a one-hour flight to get there.

Numerous daily nonstop flights operate from Bali (DPS) to Labuan Bajo Airport (LBJ). Some of the direct flight options include Air Asia, Thai Lion, Batik Air, and Garuda Indonesia.

Typically, Komodo Island tours kick off in the morning from Labuan Bajo's harbor. That's why we strongly suggest arriving in Labuan Bajo the day prior to your scheduled tour.
