5 days in beautiful island of Santorini, Greece 

*Instagrammable places and amazing things to do in the most  blue-tiful island of Aegean Sea , Santorini 

    Santorini, is one of the most   beautiful island of Greece, with breathtaking views of the caldera and the volcano. The whole island is built on the cliffs so almost in any location you will stay you will have good views from above. 

Lets travel together to this amazing place with its blue and white little houses and churches you can only find in greek islands !!

The first thing you will see upon arrival to the island if you come by plane it is the airport of Santorini 

The location is very good , close to the main beaches and  the ancients sites of the island 

*The budget hotel we stayed the most of the days was Carlos pension which I highly recommend in Akrotiri 

   And this is the luxury hotel .. we were absolutely amazed with the room and the view we didn’t wanted to leave the room the whole day . You can’t find a better place for caldera view and we had it right outside our window! 

We started our day with an amazing breakfast to our hotel and headed to the beach for the first time in the island! 🏝️ 

 After the clubbing if you feel hungry there are some good options for food around the bars in Fira .. right in next to Enigma club you can find a McDonald’s restaurant which is open all night long 🍔

  And those two fast food restaurants where you can try  gyro, souvlaki and famous Greek fast food dishes , but  they aren’t operating all night.. (they both close at 2 am)🥙

  After  our dinner, we went for a walk around , in Fira, the capital of the island , where the most of the bars and clubs are located.. 

  We recommend the following bars we visited . They played great house music and the prices were also  good ! Cheers 🍸

  In this restaurant you can also find this popular on instagram dessert representing an explosion of a volcano 🌋. It’s basically ice cream with strawberry sauce and dry ice.. it’s very tasty and also very interesting to watch ! 

  The first beach we chose was also the most famous one , the black beach also known as Kamari Beach. The name is obviously because of the black rocks-based “sand” this beach has .. Be sure you always wear your flip flops while waking around as it is very hot cause of the black colour .. There is one beach bar in the left side of the road once you reach the beach , while you can sunbathe in your umbrella on the right side . We chose the beach bar because we also wanted to drink something cool and the prices were quite good . The umbrella with sun beds only cost  10-15€ . 

 The water here and almost in every beach around is deep and dark .. it is very refreshing though as it is not very warm . 

The road to the beach was fine .. we came there by scooter and we didn’t struggle at all 

 In our case , after  our arrival in the island we went directly to the hotel for check in . There are plenty of nice hotels in the island , some of them are affordable and some others are very luxury . We chose those 2 hotels .. we wanted to spend a night to a very luxury hotel and we stayed all the other days in a more budget hotel. Both of them were great in their own ways! 

It is better to rent a car or scooter to drive around the island as taxi prices are high in Santorini . We booked a scooter from Moto Santorini .. they were very helpful with the drop in and drop off and the price for the scooter was also very good . Except paying around 30€ per day for a scooter 

After the beach I recommend you having lunch In this nice restaurant. It is very recommended by locals . The prices and the dishes are very good ! 

  In the afternoon we chose this amazing hotel to admire the sunset while having our drinks in the pool .. you can access the pool even if you don’t stay to the hotel by paying a day acess . It is not so expensive and it totally worth it especially if you don’t have the opportunity to stay in a hotel with a pool with caldera view . You will love it!

 it is better to make a reservation before arrival .. you can either call them or send them an email 

We ended the day with a nice ice cream from this store ! Great taste and big selection of flavours 

We chose to join a cruise this day. It’s a great opportunity to visit plenty of beaches at once without having to drive . We chose a catamaran cruise with lunch inclusive . We booked it via getyourguide app for 110€ pp 

Nea Kameni (the place with iamatic hot springs, with hot water coming cause of the volcano)   

We enjoyed the sea while diving from the catamaran . The water was very refreshing and clear 

*The prices are high in this restaurant, except paying 31€ for this dessert and in average a main meal costs around 40€ pp. There is not a minimum spent but you have to make a reservation before you go there .. This table is a cliff table , you can find it on their website 

 After the cruise, in the afternoon we went to fira to see the sunset 

  We woke up very early the next morning as we had a next day photoshooting arranged with this talented photographer! He did a great job ! We paid 200€ for 1 hour photoshooting and we received  70 photos almost a week after ! You can book with him even for a non wedding photography but make sure you book in advance . 

* I totally recommend going in Oia during sunrise .. the sky has  almost the same colours as sunset but there will be no crowds .. you can take great pictures ! Here are some pictures we took 

 *we didn’t pay for coffee at the beach as we had already bought them from Grigoris bakery . It was on our way on the beach
