Iceland is the crazy combination of fire and ice, pure nature, crazy landscape and unbelievably welcoming people. Friends and family always asked me for recommendations and like that, I eventually came to make this 10-day itinerary that I'd like to share with you. You'll stop at the most iconic locations and do things like whale watching, ice cave hiking and exploring the glacier lagoon by boat. The itinerary with renting a car in mind. You can either choose a budget version with camping or be more comfortable with apartments on the way. For example, if you were to travel with a friend the cheapest option would be renting 4x4 and camping with your own tents. Everything you need to know about whale-watching in Iceland 🐋

Above is a picture of my dad and I snorkeling in the crystal clear waters of the Sifra rift in between two tectonic plates. Snorkeling is one of my favorite memories from our 10 day father-daughter trip to Iceland in June 2022. I’ve used our experience to develop a family friendly itinerary with activities that entertain from energetic teenager to an adult in their 50s. This itinerary includes a full 10 day plan with a packing list and links to companies that we tested and used including: rib boats, the blue lagoon, geysers, puffins, whale watching, snowmobiling on glaciers, snorkeling Sifra, hotels, and restaurants. This itinerary is tried and tested, covering Iceland’s southern regions in addition to its capital Reykjavik.
