Hi yall! I am originally from Texas but personally call Costa Rica my home. Over the past 8 years, I have lived & traveled Costa Rica extensively. I love sharing my passion for Costa Rica in hopes to give someone else a unique and memorable experience that might just change their life like it did mine. The story of how I ended up in Costa Rica is what many call a fairy tale. It all started in 2016 when I took a semester abroad. I quickly fell in love with the culture, the people, and all the immense amount of adventure and beauty at my fingertips! I was determined to move to Costa Rica one day. Long story short, by the end of my program, I had fallen in love with my host ¨brother¨. A 4 year long-distance relationship and a wild pandemic later closing all borders for nearly a year, I finally boarded that one-way flight to Costa Rica & never turned back! We are now happily married living that Pura Vida! What I enjoy most about CR is the DIVERSITY! There is always something new to explore & for all types of travelers. The amount of varietal experiences in CR is outstanding! Costa Rica is not a one-stop shop destination; it is a country that will get you hooked and returning soon! :-) As each year passes, Costa Rica grows in popularity. In fact, Travel & Leisure has claimed Costa Rica as the top travel destination for 2024! With so much info out there on the internet, planning a trip to CR can be particularly overwhelming and confusing. I have seen a lot of info online about CR travel that is simply not accurate. This is usually because the info is coming from 1x blogger visits who simply have not experienced ALL of CR in ALL times of the year. This is when connecting with a local becomes super beneficial -- like me! :) I would love to be your Costa Rica travel BFF! I'm an open book and here to help you curate a life time experience! Travel is my life. I travel to experience the culture, the food, and the people of the places I visit. Don't get me wrong, every now and then I like to do the touristy things or take a vacation just to relax but my specialty is finding ways to experience the culture without feeling like a tourist. My name is Sierra. I grew up in Washington, D.C., and have been traveling since I was a kid. I've lived in Costa Rica, Florence Italy, in a van, and in and out of Airbnbs across the continental U.S. while traveling with my husband and dog.
