In 2021, we decided to take our travel adventures to the next level. We left behind our settled life in the UK and embraced a nomadic lifestyle, traveling and living abroad permanently. This decision allowed us to break free from societal norms, redefine our boundaries, and truly become citizens of the world. Our experiences taught us that by embracing diversity, we enrich our own lives and develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the world around us. Hi, we are Gill & Santi from Purace Travel Colombia. We are experienced Colombia travel designers based in Medellin, who love to travel around the world as much as around Colombia. Gill from Ireland is a former primary school teacher and Santi, a native Colombian is a former architect. Hola amigos! Nice to meet you. I’m a proud Canadian, but I’ve been living abroad—primarily in Colombia and Uganda—for the last 20 years. I’ve worked as a journalist and a content creator, and I’ve channeled that experience into creating informative, exciting and entertaining multimedia guides and itineraries. I tend to focus on places that are less touristic and more authentic. I like to learn about my destinations by wandering around and talking to people. I plan, but I welcome spontaneity. Accordingly, my guides convey the essential information but leave plenty of room for your own exploration and discovery. Hi! We're Gabe and Manu. Do you find yourself idly searching Google flights with destination “Anywhere”? Do you spend your workdays daydreaming of random itineraries and mapping out the best way from Sofia, Bulgaria to Prístina, Kosovo? Yes? Then you’re just like us and would probably love some of the trips we’ve planned. No? Then maybe you hate travel planning and have come to just the right place. We are seasoned travelers who have been to over 50 countries. But we hate checking boxes and we are not trying to hit all the major attractions. If you want to run from the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame, we may not be the right guide for you. If you want to hit up the Hard Rock Cafe in Yerevan on a Thursday to watch a Filipino cover band play Nirvana, then I think you’ll like our style. We know we’re all strapped for time and it’s hard to really get to know a place in 7-10 days, but we are firm believers that it is possible. In our travels we try to seek out those places where you will catch a slice of local life. Where you will look around you and think to yourself, “I am a long way from home.” We love that feeling and even if you’ve never had that opportunity, we think when you feel it you will fall in love with travel too. I'm Manuela! Born and raised Colombian (from Medellin) that loves to travel. I have visited more than 40 countries in South, Central & North America, Europe and Asia. I started travelling really young and became obsessed with it.
